Tanzania Education Authority (TEA) on Monday issued 814.9m/- loan to Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS).
The loan payable for five years would be spent to construct two lecture theatre halls at the campus within Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam.

THE Ministry of Education and Culture has devised a plan to introduce Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teachers’ colleges.
Mr Sakila said the objective was to enable tutors in teachers colleges become computer literate as a pre-condition to use ICT as a teaching and learning tool. Workshop presentations touched on ICT views and perspectives, global aspects of the technology in development of education and the need for ICT policy in secondary education. |

The study to establish Export Processing Zones (EPZs) was completed about a decade ago but it is only in the year 2002 that the Act to establish EPZS was passed by Parliament.
To date we have only four units in EPZ in Dar es Salaam and all of them are producing garments for exports to the AGOA market.

A report from IMF said developing countries needed to be helped to know what policies, reforms and institutional arrangements were appropriate for their economies. |

The economic empowerment policy was officially launched in Parliament in Dodoma in June this year after years of deliberations and preparations.

This paper explains the participatory process which was incorporated for the development of communication material to promote local knowledge and practices on natural crop protection. Researchers from the Uluguru Mountains Agricultural Development Project (UMADEP) in Morogoro, Tanzania, collaborated with local farmers in the Mgeta area to develop posters that were used in farmer-to-farmer training to communicate farmers' knowledge and practices. |
