  Tanzania Bureau of Standards has now embarked on a programme to educate SMEs on national standards in order to have access to international markets. MKUKUTA has set aside about Ths30mil. towards this.

  Participants at a recent food-processing workshop, held in Kisarawe District in Coast Region, have been asked to start self employment groups in order to get financial assistance.
The DC said the knowledge obtained from the workshop would increase their income by buying crops from peasants at reasonable prices, and selling them at a profit after they processed them.
