Lindi District Hospital has introduced community health education every morning on malaria control measures to patients. The decision was based on medical reports indicating alarming figures of malaria cases. The disease accounted for 60,000 admissions to hospital in the past 12 months. |

The Head of Vodacom Corporate Responsibility Rachel Phares donated an embroidery machine worth over 2.2m to Feliciana Domician Rwitta the custodian of Fighting HIV/AIDS in Tanzania (FIHATA), an association of people living with HIV/AIDS involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS and supporting orphans affected by the disease in a handing over ceremony held at the FIHATA offices in Sinza Dar es Salaam.

From an 'economic' perspective, health care resources are more efficiently used if they are directed towards the groups that need them most.
