It is reported that over7,000 farmers and livestock keepers in four regions including Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Singida and Manyara are benefiting from ongoing rural community solar power installation programmes.
3. Marking of all imported products to start soon, says standards body

  All imported goods are now to be stamp marked with a government certification logo that will verify their standards and safety. “The import standardisation mark (ISM) is ready and we have already trained staff to handle the implementation…we are ready to put it into practice,” announced the Acting Director General of Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), Joseph Masikitiko.

  The Association of Citizen Contractors Tanzania (ACCT) has announced its intention to establish a vocational training centre to enable its members improve their skill sets. Speaking yesterday in Dar es Salaam, ACCT Chairperson Milton Nyerere, said improving contractors capacity will mean improved construction projects.
