Leticia Mukurasi explains that the Bank, as a member of the international community, participated in the high level meetings, namely, the International Conference on Financing for Development in March 2002 and the High Level Forum that culminated in the adoption of the Paris Declaration on Aid effectiveness in March 2005. The two global frameworks therefore offer the potential for integrating initiatives for financing for gender equality as part of these broader processes of sustainable development.
