A Sub-Regional workshop on chemical hazard communication and globally harmonized system of classification and labelling of chemicals (GHS) implementation of countries of the Southern African Development Community Region was organized in September 2003 by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). During this workshop, country participants exchanged GHS related experiences, examined existing regional structures relevant to GHS implementation, discussed implementation challenges and opportunities, and developed practical recommendations. This report is an outcome of the workshop and a compilation of the Regional GHS Assessment and Implementation Report during 2003. |

The Government of Tanzania has long acknowledged that there is rampant corruption in Tanzania and has been fighting to reduce it. The Government also realizes the importance of public procurement to the economic development of the country and to the fulfilment of key objectives within the National Poverty Reduction Strategy. The main objective of this Country Procurement Assessment Report (CPAR) is to determine the compatibility of national procurement law and practices with the principles of economy and efficiency and with international procurement practices. |
